EDITORIAL NOTE
Why it’s in the Library
When inherited explanations no longer hold, a practice can offer a different way to stay with spiritual questions. This conversation connects Christian contemplation with the language of nonduality and with everyday life. It offers a spoken companion to the Library’s Centering Prayer books, rather than another demand to arrive at certainty.

You are curious about Christian mysticism or returning to prayer differently, and want to hear experienced teachers discuss letting go, uncertainty, and contemplative life. Some familiarity with Centering Prayer will help.
Know before you begin…
The speakers offer Christian contemplative interpretations, not a scientific account of consciousness. Nondual and theological language can be demanding even in conversation. This is an orientation, not a complete practice course; claims about transformation or mental rewiring should not be treated as established neuroscience. Claims that ordinary subject–object awareness is inherently violent are the speakers’ theological judgments, not a verdict on your character or a consensus account of ethics.
